I am Ozzy David-Uwangue, the founder of Syntax Scribes, and an experienced editor and freelance writer.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (ciep), and specialise in reviewing drafts, manuscripts or proposals to determine suitability for publication.
I provide constructive feedback and guidance that helps writers improve their writing skills.
Also, I can connect writers with publishers. However, that does not equate to acceptance of your manuscript.

I pay attention to detail and understand the importance of providing accessible service.
Using software such as Glean or Read&Write, I can support disabled writers in fulfilling their purpose.
I am skilled in transcribing audio formatted speech to written text. I can also convert text to speech - verbatim.
This is a special service that has to be booked at least two weeks ahead of sending in the materials for transcription.

In proofreading, precision is key, so written content is checked for accuracy, clarity, grammar, punctuation and style consistency.
With good command of markup language, Syntax Scribes ensures that your sentences are well-structured and make sense throughout the document.
For research articles, care is taken to format tables and charts, whilst checking the accuracy of in-text citations and references.
